SharePoint Studio is changing soon....

What is changing?

Over the last few months SharePoint Studio has been changing and expanding it's horizons.  We are no longer simply a "SharePoint" house, but can offer so much more, hence we need a rebrand!  In the next few weeks our services and messaging will be changing from SharePoint Studio to RedPlane.  Please bear with us as some of our applications may take more time than others to go through the rebrand, so while this is happening we may have a few different "look and feels" on our sites.

So, what is changing about the business and why the need to be more "generically named"?

Our core consultancy business is staying just the same, but we are support far more services, such as those detailed below:

Cloud Computing

We are full-on bought into The Cloud and the ability to stop hosting IT systems ourselves in favour of sharing resources in large data centers that are far more reliable, secure, accessible and environmental than being hosted in house.  It's quite amazing when you consider how much "spare capacity" are built into organisations IT systems to deal with Peaks in service request and just how much energy and money that excess costs businesses and the environment.

Since our core business is in Information and Productivity and we are a Microsoft Partner our Cloud services tend to focus around Office 365 and Azure.  We currently host a number of websites in Azure based on different platforms, such as BlogEngine, nopCommerce, DotNetNuke and some custom applications.

nopCommerce, DotNetNuke, BlogEngine, WordPress

We have recently been working on a couple of nopCommerce deployments that should be launched soon. This has given us some great insight into the workings and requirements of eCommerce sites and getting them up and running on an Azure platform fast!

With close links to a very popular and well regarded firm of solicitors in the North West, we can also sort out all your Terms and Conditions and legal texts.

We also have sites running on DotNetNuke, BlogEngine and WordPress, all hosted in Windows Azure.  If you would like to know more about any Microsoft based application running in Azure then drop us a line.  We'll be more than happy to talk to you about it,

Work Anywhere, Any Time, On Any Device / CoWorking

Here at SharePoint Studio / RedPlane we are great believers in employees ability to work anywhere, any time and on any device.  As leaders in the field of "Employee Productivity" we can assist you in developing software solutions (think cloud) and business practices for managing your employees to work from home, coffee shops or coworking spaces.  It's try that management style and business processes need to change to facilitate this, but it's not as scary as you might think.  Are you sure that all your employees are working 8 hours a day, just because they are sat in an office in front of a computer?  how much of that time do you think is spent on News sites or Facebook and Twitter?

We are associated partners with some management consultants who have built up some specialist knowledge in helping your business facilitate a more flexible working relationship with your employees.

Right now, we are engaging a number of Business Center owners across East Lancashire to open a network of Coworking spaces that give workers in the area a new choice of where they go to do their work and build new relationships.

In Closing

If you wish to contact us about any of the services described above, then please drop us an email at: and we will get back to you and arrange a free 1:2:1 consultation on what you want to achieve and how we might be able to help you.
